Component Model for Unified Deployment of Distributed Component-based Software

چکیده

Software deployment is an inevitable part of software lifecycle. For non-component-based software, there already exist generic tools and environments supporting fully automated deployment. However, for component-based software, there has not been any unified environment and/or suit of tools performing deployment activities yet. This paper proposes such an environment and presents a generic component model that, in addition to standard component models’ features, is suitable for managing components during their deployment. The presented model is an extension to the OMG Deployment and Configuration specification (which is mainly focused on CORBA component model).

A Combined Component-Based Approach for the Design of Distributed Software Systems

* Supported by CNPq (Brazil). Abstract Component-based software development enables the construction of software artefacts by assembling binary units of production, distribution and deployment, the socalled components. Several approaches to componentbased development have been proposed recently. Most of these approaches are based on the Unified Modeling Language (UML). UML has been increasingly...

Software Performance Evaluation Utilizing UML Specification and SRN Model and Their Formal Representation

Performance assessment should be included in the software development process to ensure the quality of the software in operation. Hence, this paper introduces a performance modeling framework for a distributed software system that proposes a transformation process from a high level Unified Modeling Language (UML) notation to a Stochastic Reward Net (SRN) model. The model is solved for relevant ...

Mapping Component Models on Distributed Architectures: Correctness Checking

We propose a method to check if a distribution of components, proposed to implement a given assembly of components, is correct with respect to the targeted host distributed architecture. The method is based on the principle of checking that the accessibility relation induced by the proposed distribution of components, is consistent with the accessibility relation imposed by the designed compone...

Model Selection Based on Tracking Interval Under Unified Hybrid Censored Samples

The aim of statistical modeling is to identify the model that most closely approximates the underlying process. Akaike information criterion (AIC) is commonly used for model selection but the precise value of AIC has no direct interpretation. In this paper we use a normalization of a difference of Akaike criteria in comparing between the two rival models under unified hybrid cens...
